India's wrist-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal climbed 12 spots to become the number 2 bowler in the world, as per the latest ICC T20I Rankings for bowlers.
The in-form player picked up eight wickets in the recently concluded Nidahas Trophy.
He has been performing consistently since 2017 and ended the year as the highest wicket-taker.
He achieved a career-high 706 rating-points and is behind Rashid Khan.

Spinners occupy the top four places in the ICC Bowlers Rankings in T20Is.
Rashid Khan leads the show, with Yuzvendra Chahal, Ish Sodhi and Samuel Badree following suit.
The rest are Imad Wasim, Mitchell Santner, Imran Tahir, Mustafizur Rahman, Sunil Narine, Mohammad Naveed.
India's 18-year-old Washington Sundar, who was exceptional in the Nidahas Trophy, moved 151 places to 31st spot.
