Cricket: India and Pakistan to lock horns in Asia Cup
After more than a year, Virat Kohli-led India will lock horns with Pakistan on a cricket ground in the 2018 Asia Cup. The arch-rivals are pitted against each other in Group A and will await the qualifying side. On the other hand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will be battling against each other in Group B. Bangladesh, Lanka to start proceedings
The biennial tournament is set to be held at United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 15 onwards. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will start the proceedings in the opening encounter in Dubai. The top two teams, from both groups, will qualify for the Super 4, where each side will play three matches. The final will be played on September 28.
All eyes on Indo-Pak battle on September 19
India vs Pakistan is the most anticipated match of 2018 with the battle set on September 19. The two teams could also meet in Super 4. The last time, these two sides had met, was in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final, and Kohli's boys were thrashed by Pakistan. Pakistan had also defeated India by one wicket in the 2014 Asia Cup in Dhaka.
