#GamingBytes: Five exciting game modes in FIFA 19
Everyone thought FIFA 19 would only bring an improved playing style and the Champions League to the game, but EA has proved us wrong. The studio has taken it to the next level by introducing exciting game modes. Earlier, the kick-off used to be just a standalone match between two teams, but with the following five new 'House Rules', FIFA has spiced things up.
A match with your set scorelines
This follows the simplest method. The 'First To' mode allows a player to select the number of goals that can be netted in the match by each team. If players set a parameter of 5 goals and both teams score 4 each, then the very next goal helps you win. If the parameters are not reached, the game goes into penalties.
Stay far away from the penalty box
Long range shooting is a great way to practise shot accuracy in FIFA and to avoid those pesky defenders, who stick to you every time you make run-ins towards the goal. This mode rewards you for sending the ball hurling to the net from afar. Stay outside the penalty box, shoot a goal and this mode will count it as two goals.
Score only from the instructions given
This new mode in the 'House Rules' will give players ample practise to maximize opportunities inside the box. Only goals scored from headers and volleys are counted. Notably, this also forces players to cross the ball, successfully, inside the box for that sweet connection. It sounds weird but we all know there's nothing better than a well-connected header or volley hurtling into the net.
Is this FIFA's Battle Royale?
FIFA 19 brings back the 'Street' mode but onto a proper field. Every time a team scores, it loses a player. This, theoretically, gives the trailing team an advantage and opportunity to score. While players might think that the last man standing will win the game, such is not the case. It is abandoned if the total number of players drop below seven.
The only way to live is without any rules
Have you ever seen a football match descend into complete chaos and anarchy? Well, this is your chance. The 'No Rules' version of FIFA 19, essentially, means that players are free to do whatever they want and football rules do not apply. There are no fouls, off sides or cards. Go for those nasty challenges without regret. This mode is sheer 'meaningless' entertainment.
