New twist in Mohammed Shami's story
Mohammed Shami's story is seeing a new twist everyday. Alishba, the Pakistani woman who was referenced by Shami's wife Hasin Jahan in her match-fixing allegations against him, has finally spoken up. Speaking to ABP News, the woman claiming to be Alishba said that while she had met Shami in Dubai, there was no money exchanged between the two during the meeting.
Match-fixing charges involving Alishba
Amongst many other charges, Hasin Jahan had accused her husband Mohammed Shami of match-fixing. Hasin had said that Shami took money from a Pakistani woman named Alishba, during their meeting in Dubai, at the insistence of England-based businessman Mohammad Bhai. This allegation, in particular, led the BCCI to hold back Shami's contract and initiate a probe into these charges.
Alishba says I am just a fan
Alishba said that she is one of many of followers of the Indian cricketer and she had become his friend through social media. "I came to know that he was flying back home from South Africa via Dubai. Coincidentally, I was also travelling there going to my sister's place," she said. She also claimed that she personally doesn't know who Mohammad Bhai was.
