Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United is a done deal
If you are an Arsenal fan, you might want to look away. Alexis Sanchez has reportedly agreed to a four-and-a-half-year contract, worth a whopping £14 million after tax deductions, to join Manchester United. The mega-deal means the Red Devils will be forking out a massive £60 million which will include £30 million transfer fee, £10 million agent's fee and signing fee.
Man United pip City to sign Alexis Sanchez
The Chilean had just 6 months left on his Arsenal contract, but Jose Mourinho is desperate to get hold of his man after a recent string of poor performances. Manchester City were also in the race to sign him, but they backed out since they were not willing to fork out money for a player they could sign for free after his contract expires.
Chelsea lose out on Sanchez
Chelsea were also in the race to sign the man, who has been Arsenal's key figure since his transfer from Barcelona in 2014. However, the Roman Abramovich owned club could not finance the deal. Arsenal have also lost Theo Walcott, who signed a contract with Everton for a £20 million transfer fee.
Sanchez was Arsenal's finest
Sanchez was signed from Barcelona for a meagre amount of £35 million in 2014 and has paid three times that amount with his performances. Chilean maestro has scored 80 goals and racked up 46 assists in the 166 games he played for the Gunners. He also won the FA cup twice, but he has moved to ManU with the aim of winning bigger trophies.
