Shoaib Akhtar praises Team India after T20I series win
The Indian cricket team beat Bangladesh 2-1 in the recently-concluded T20I series and win the trophy. After going down 1-0 in the series, Team India won the next two games to show its authority. Former Pakistan legend Shoaib Akhtar praised Rohit Sharma & Co. and said India showed who the boss is in the series decider in Nagpur. Here's more.
How did the third T20I pan out?
On Sunday, after being asked to bat, India scored 174/5. The likes of Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul impressed for the hosts with their dazzling fifties. In reply, Bangladesh lost two quick wickets. However, Mohammad Naim (81) impressed and scored freely. But Bangladesh collapsed after his dismissal. For India, Deepak Chahar (6/7) claimed the best-ever figures in T20I history. It included a hat-trick.
'India have proved who the boss is in the match'
After the game, former Pakistan pacer Akhtar heaped praises for the Men in Blue's performance. "India have proved who the boss is in the match. Though India lost the first game but made a clinical comeback in the series, courtesy Rohit Sharma's brilliant batting display," Akhtar said on his Youtube channel. He also praised Rohit and said he can score anytime he wants.

"I thought the 3rd T20I will be exciting to watch. However, India came out as a much better side but hats off to Bangladesh for their spirited performance," said Akhtar. He also praised the Bangladesh cricket team. "Bangladesh is no ordinary side, we all must remember that the Tigers are not going to choke in front of any team," Akhtar added.
'He [Chahar] is a mix of medium pace and seam'
Meanwhile, Akhtar also praised right-arm pacer Chahar, who was in top form in the match. "He is a mix of medium pace and seam and he displayed a commendable performance by taking a hat-trick in the game," said Akhtar.
India claim their maiden T20I series this year
The third T20I in Nagpur was the 11th match in this format between the two sides and India registered their 10th victory against the Tigers. India won their maiden T20I series this year on home soil and a second overall. They won their third T20I at home in 2019 out of seven games. The two sides are now lined up for two-match Test series.
