Indian cricket team's Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane and his wife Radhika Dhopavkar have been blessed with a baby girl, on Saturday. The couple had announced the news of pregnancy back in July. The two got married in 2014, after meeting in school and staying friends for a long time. Separately, Rahane is currently in Visakhapatnam, playing India's first Test against South Africa. Just last week, Radhika had posted a picture of herself, flaunting her baby bump, on Instagram, writing, "Being pregnant means being ready for extra care and extra attention from just about everyone." She added, "And the flood of information can only make things confusing. I have found it helpful to stick to the basics and keep track of my daily nutrient intake."

Notably, Rahane and Radhika tied the knot in a traditional Maharashtrian wedding ceremony in Mumbai in December, 2014. The two first met in school and remained friends for some time, before their parents met and arranged their marriage. They had announced the news of pregnancy earlier in July, via Instagram pictures. However, the duo hasn't yet posted any official message in this regard.

Meanwhile, Rahane is currently in Visakhapatnam, playing for India in the first test match against South Africa. Batting first, India declared their innings at a mammoth score of 502/7. In response, the Proteas got all-out at 431, giving India a lead of 71 runs. Around lunch on Day four, India were 35/1, with Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara standing strong in the middle.
