Zazai made his international debut in 2016 against UAE and has played 16 ODIs and 45 T20Is since.
Although he isn't part of the Afghan squad for Champions Trophy 2025, he has the second-highest individual scores in T20Is with a stunning 162 runs off just 62 balls against Ireland at Dehradun's Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
This year, Zazai hasn't represented Afghanistan, last seen in December 2024, in a T20I series against Zimbabwe.
