Aditya Verma hits out at ICC chief Shashank Manohar
Aditya Verma, petitioner in the Indian Premier League spot-fixing scam, has made a new series of allegations against ICC chief Shashank Manohar. According to a report in The Asian Age, the secretary of the unrecognised Cricket Association of Bihar (CAB), has gone on to claim that he was pressurised by Manohar to approach the court regarding the IPL scandal and take on N Srinivasan.
'Manohar the mastermind behind Srini exit'
Verma made several allegations against Manohar that included clams of a deal and him getting cheated. The deal: Recognition of CAB in exchange of Verma taking the lead act in going to court. What followed: Srinivasan was ousted as BCCI president and Manohar became the ICC chief. Now, Verma hopes to make amends with Srini after claiming siding with Manohar was his biggest mistake.
Verma's tryst with allegations
In February 2018, the CAB president claimed that acting BCCI secretary Amitabh Choudhary was involved in allowing spinner Anukul Roy to feature in the ICC U-19 World Cup despite being over aged. He also stated that BCCI CEO Rahul Johri is a puppet of Choudhary.
