After a sensational performance in the T20I series against England, Team India opener Abhishek Sharma witnessed a massive jump in the ICC T20I Rankings for Batters on Wednesday.
The southpaw jumped 38 spots from No. 40 to No. 2 in the latest ICC T20I Rankings.
The list is headed by Travis Head.

Abhishek pips Varma to 2nd; Jaiswal drops three places
Head leads the show among batters with 855 rating points. Abhishek now owns a career-best 829 rating points.
Notably, he edged ahead of fellow India teammate Tilak Varma, who fell a spot to No. 3. Varma has 803 rating points.
Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav dropped a berth down to 5th. Yashasvi Jaiswal dropped three places to 12th from 9th.

Abhishek shone with a rapid 135 in the 5th T20I
Abhishek smashed a quickfire 135 in the fifth and final match of the series versus England in Mumbai. He became only the sixth Indian to register multiple centuries in T20I cricket.
Abhishek collected as many as 58 runs in the first six overs, the most by an Indian batter in the Powerplay of a T20I.
Abhishek's 37-ball century became the second-fastest in T20I cricket.
