Abhishek Sharma gets to 1,000 runs for SRH: Stats
Abhishek Sharma has scripted history as he has become the first uncapped batter to complete 1,000 runs for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He reached the milestone with his ninth run against Punjab Kings in Match 23 of the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). The southpaw, however, could not last long as he fell to Sam Curran, managing an 11-ball 16 (2 fours, 1 six).

Abhishek, who has been associated with SRH since 2019, has now raced to 1,007 runs in 49 games for the franchise at 23.41. His strike rate reads 143.44 as the tally includes five fifties. Overall, he became the fifth batter after David Warner (4,014), Shikhar Dhawan (2,768), Kane Williamson (2,101), Manish Pandey (1,345), and Jonny Bairstow (1,038) to complete 1,000 runs for SRH.
