Duleep Trophy 2024: Abhimanyu Easwaran slams his 25th First-Class hundred
Abhimanyu Easwaran has slammed successive centuries in the 2024 Duleep Trophy. After carrying his bat (157*) for India B against India C in the round 2 contest, Easwaran smashed 116 versus India D in the first innings of the round 3 clash at Rural Development Trust Stadium B, Anantapur. After India D's score of 349/10, India B are 210/6 at stumps (Day 2).
A steady knock from the India B skipper
Easwaran continued from where he left off against India C. The India B skipper held his fort from one end while seeing his side lose regular scalps to be reduced to 100/5. He shared a 105-run stand next alongside Washington Sundar for the sixth wicket before perishing. Aditya Thakare dismissed the star opener, who faced 170 balls for his 116 (4s: 13, 6s: 1).

Easwaran has raced to 7,296 runs in First-Class cricket from 97 matches (165 innings) as per ESPNcricinfo. He slammed his 25th FC ton and owns 29 fifties as well. Easwaran deserves a shout for Team India
The star Bengal batter deserves a shout for Team India in Tests. He was earlier a part of the Team India squad but he didn't get an opportunity to make his debut. For the upcoming Test series against New Zealand, Easwaran could be an option.
