What's the story

Australia ODI cricket team captain Aaron Finch is a big fan of Indian stalwarts MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.

And Finch took to Instagram to thank these two Indian legends, for the gift they had given him when Australia toured India in March.

He shared a picture with the gift, besides calling Kohli and Dhoni all-time greats.

Finch had led Australia to a famous ODI series win

Australia had toured India for a five-match ODI series which they ended up claiming 3-2.

Finch led the Aussie side to a remarkable series win after going down 2-0.

Prior to that, he had also seen his side win the T20I series.

While departing, Finch received the Team India jerseys of MSD and Kohli.

He spoke about the respect he has for them.

Finch played a major role as Aussies thrashed Pakistan

After the ODI series against India, Finch helped Australia thrash Pakistan 5-0 in the UAE. The skipper responded with two centuries that included an unbeaten 153. He also smashed two fifties to end as the top run-scorer.

Finch's next big task is the 2019 World Cup

Finch will lead the Australian team in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019.

Australia open their campaign against Afghanistan on June 1.

They face a stern test against India on June 9.

Both teams go into the 2019 World Cup as pre-tournament favorites to win the trophy. An exciting battle awaits the two nations.
