Cheteshwar Pujara and wife welcome a baby girl
Cheteshwar Pujara has a new role to take on. The Test specialist and his wife, Puja have welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on February 22. Pujara took to social media to make the announcement. He tweeted saying, "Welcome lil one. Excited and super happy for the new role in our lives. We made a wish and she came true!"

Cheteshwar Pujara, who made his international debut in 2010, got married in 2013, ahead of the Border-Gavaskar series, to Puja Pabari. Puja, who holds an MBA in retail management, is often spotted cheering for Pujara during his matches. On January 1, the Saurashtra captain broke the news on Instagram that he and his wife were expecting their "little bundle of joy this year."
Next assignment
Pujara, who had a phenomenal season of Test cricket in 2017, began his international duties this year with India's tour of South Africa. Having returned to India after the end of Test series, he is currently captaining Saurashtra in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where his side are through to the semis. The right-handed batsman will next play county cricket in England for Yorkshire.
