England's Phil Salt, Ben Duckett join this list of openers

Openers Philip Salt and Ben Duckett gave England another positive start, this time in the 3rd and final ODI against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
The duo added 60 runs in just six overs as England attempted to chase down a mammoth 357.
This was the fourth consecutive fifty-plus opening partnership between Salt and Duckett.

Salt and Duckett came out all guns blazing after India posted a mammoth 356 in 50 overs.
While Salt picked occasional boundaries, Duckett smacked Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh for seven fours in two overs.
However, Arshdeep had the last laugh as he dismissed Duckett in the seventh over. The English opener slammed a 22-ball 34 (8 fours).

This was the fourth consecutive fifty-plus opening partnership between Salt and Duckett in ODI cricket.
Only three other pairs have had four such stands for England: Graeme Fowler - Chris Tavare in 1983, Jason Roy - Jonny Bairstow in 2019, and Phil Salt - Will Jacks in 2023.
Salt and Duckett also fared well as a pair in the first two ODIs against India.
