    What's the story

With 2 European Championships, 34 league titles and 13 domestic cups, Juventus are among the most successful European clubs of all time.

Juventus have won 7 consecutive Serie A titles.

Now, the Italian giants are looking to dominate Europe, once again, with the addition of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Here we take a look at five best players of Juventus.

    Pavel Nedved

Legend who become boss of the club

The "Czech Fury", Pavel Nedved, is a Juventus icon.

He signed for Juventus after Zidane had left for Real Madrid and immediately won 2 consecutive league titles.

Nedved had a huge contribution in taking Juventus to the UCL final in 2003, but could not play the match owing to suspension.

He won the Ballon d'Or that .year, and is the club's director.

    Alessandro Del Piero

Roberto Baggio's successor who proved his worth

Alessandro Del Piero was a part of Juventus for 19 long years and is one of their legends.

He has the highest number of appearances (705) and goals for the club (290).

He played a major part in 1995-96 UCL victory, scoring 6 goals in the tournament.

For Juventus, 1997-98 season proved spectacular with Del Piero and Zidane leading them from the front.

    Zinedine Zidane

This man is poetry in motion

Zidane joined Juventus in the spring of 1996 and immediately made an impact on his arrival.

He won the Serie A and the Intercontinental Cup in his first season, also taking the club to 2 consecutive UCL finals.

In 1998, he was awarded the Ballon d'Or for his performances in Serie A and the World Cup.

    Michel Platini

A Frenchman who made a place in Italian hearts

Platini joined Juventus in 1982 after the World Cup and had a rocky start to his career.

However, by winter that season, he had become a vital cog and took the Old Lady to the European Cup final.

Platini finished as the top scorer in Serie A for 3 seasons, winning the European Cup in 1985 with 3 Ballon d'Ors for himself.

    Gianluigi Buffon

The vanguard of Turin above all

Juventus bought Gigi Buffon from Parma for a record sum of €52 million, and they have been well rewarded since.

He was declared the Best Player in Europe by UEFA in 2003.

Buffon has won an incredible 9 league titles and 5 domestic cups with Juventus.

Not only, he is one of the finest of Juventus but the best goal-keeper of this generation.
