Who can replace Ronaldo at Real Madrid?
Cristiano Ronaldo has officially left Real Madrid and is set to join Italian champions Juventus in the upcoming days. The Portuguese has signed a 4-year deal with Juventus. Ronaldo spent 9 seasons at Real Madrid after joining the club from Manchester United in 2009. And now, Los Blancos need to line up replacements. Here we look at players who can replace the superstar.
Neymar Jr.- Paris Saint-Germain
Neymar completed a £198 mn move to PSG from Barcelona, last summer, which became a record transfer. Real's first priority is the Brazilian. However, in order to land him, Real might have to shatter the world record. PSG aren't looking to sell Neymar, but the Spanish giants will be looking to test their resolve. Can they scoop Neymar from PSG?
Kylian Mbappe- Paris Saint-Germain
Kylian Mbappe is set to complete a £166 mn deal with Paris Saint-Germain this summer. He had moved to French champions, on loan, from Monaco last term. Even though, PSG were recently cleared by the UEFA of breaching Financial Fair Play rules, but they still remain under the scrutiny. This makes the teenage sensation a feasible number two option for Real.
Eden Hazard- Chelsea
Eden Hazard is Real's third option and if they fail to land the likes of Neymar or Mbappe, then Chelsea could expect a mammoth bid for the Belgian. Hazard has been a key figure at Stamford Bridge and if the opportunity comes to join Real, it will test his determination to stay put. Perhaps, Hazard looks like the best option for Los Blancos.
Other possible options
Besides these three marquee players, reports claim that Paulo Dybala of Juventus is also on their list alongside Bayern talisman Robert Lewandowski. Although unlikely, but Real can also go for Anthony Martial, whose agent said he isn't happy at Manchester United.
