    Sri Lanka cricket team pacer Asitha Fernando claimed figures worth 5/102 in the 2nd Test versus England at Lord's.

    Fernando was the pick of the bowlers for his side as England scored 427 in their 1st innings.

    Fernando, who took two wickets on Day 1, completed his fifer with three more scalps on Day 2.

    He has been amongst the wickets in this series.

    Five wickets for the in-form Fernando

    Fernando got his first wicket in the form of Ollie Pope on Day 1. Pope tried to pull a back of a length delivery on off and was caught.

    He dismissed the dangerous Harry Brook. Fernando bowled a pitched up delivry on off as Brook got trapped LBW after going for the drive.

    Fernando dismissed Matthew Potts, centurion Gus Atkinson and Olly Stone thereafter.

    2nd 5-wicket haul for Fernando in Tests

    After taking six wickets in the first Test (4/103 and 2/25), Fernando claimed 5/102 from 24 overs in England's first innings.

    In 16 matches (25 innings), Fernando has raced to 56 wickets at 25.48. This was his 2nd fifer in Tests.

    As per ESPNcricinfo, in four matches versus England, Fernando owns 13 scalps at 23.46.

    11 of his wickets have come in this series.

    Fernando enters record books 

    As per Cricbuzz, Fernando has become just the 2nd Sri Lankan bowler to take a fifer at Lord's in Tests.

    He joined Rumesh Ratnayake, who took 5/69 in 1991.

    Overall, Fernando is the third Lankan pacer to take a fifer in Tests in England. He joins the likes of Ratnayake (1991) and Dhammika Prasad, who took 5/50 in Headingley, 2014.

    The only other Sri Lanka cricket team bowler with a Test five-wicket haul in England is Muttiah Muralitharan, who had five such hauls. He also claimed a match-winning 7/155 and 9/65 at The Oval in 1998.
