21st CWG: Indian women's hockey team reach semis
The Indian women's hockey team reached the semi-final of the ongoing 21st Commonwealth Games. After the men's team booked their semis berth earlier, the women's team led by Rani Rampal stuck to their task. They eked out a narrow 1-0 victory against South Africa. The win was enough for the Asian champions to seal their spot in last-four. Here's our match report.

India clinch a narrow win against South Africa
India started the game in a convincing manner and were positive. South Africa were up to the task as well and saw India's goalkeeper Savita make some crucial penalty corner saves. Up till the third quarter the match remained at 0-0 with nothing separating the two teams. In the 48th minute skipper Rampal struck the post from a fine pass by Vandana Kataria.
India's road to the semis of 21st CWG
India ended as runners-up in Pool A with nine points from four matches. India lost 2-3 to Wales but stayed strong to stun England. The wins over Malaysia and South Africa helped them to seal a last four spot.
