It was also a similar scoreline for Cornet, who was ousted in the round of 64 at both the Indian Wells Open and Miami Open respectively.

A sad exit for Kvitova
Petra Kvitova suffered a left thigh injury while trailing versus Poland's Magdalena Frech. She had to retire with the scoreline reading 7-6(6), 3-2.
