2019 ICC World Cup trophy arrives in Delhi
What's the story
The 2019 edition of the ICC World Cup is all set to begin from May 30, 2019 in England and Wales.
As part of a promotional strategy, the trophy is on a global tour.
This tour commenced on November 30 and will end on December 26.
On Thursday, the trophy arrived in the capital city of India, Delhi.

Trophy to be displayed in nine cities across India
The World Cup trophy will be displayed in nine cities across India.
Former Indian cricketer Madan Lal welcomed the trophy in Delhi.
This time around, the trophy will not only tour traditional cricket countries, but it is also set to go to places like Nepal, USA and Germany.
The ICC has made sure that the tourney gets the attention it deserves.

The trophy tour saw its journey start from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
It is set to cover Oman, USA, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, India, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
The trophy will arrive in England and Wales on February 19, 2019.

Know the ten teams set to participate
As per the ICC Rankings, top eight teams made the cut directly into the tournament. These teams are India, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, England, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh. These teams were joined by Afghanistan and West Indies, which entered via a qualifiers tournament.
