Miami Open: Novak Djokovic ousted in 2nd round
Former world number 1 Novak Djokovic was stunned by Frenchman Benoit Paire in the second round of the Miami Open. Making a return from an elbow injury, the 12th ranked Djokovic lost the tie 3-6, 4-6 in straight sets. Djoker lost against the world number 47 in just over an hour. Meanwhile, Paire's win sees him set up a clash against Filip Krajinovic.
Juan Martin del Potro, Dimitrov progress after three set encounters
Indian Wells winner Juan Martin del Potro progressed into the third round after a tough battle against Robin Haase. The fifth seed won the tie 6-4, 5-7, 6-2. Third seed Grigor Dimitrov overcame Maximilian Marterer in a 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 victory. He will face Jeremy Chardy next. There were wins for John Isner and Kei Nishikori in the second round, as well.
Puig ousts Wozniacki, Venus progresses
Puerto Rican Monica Puig stunned Australian Open 2018 champion Caroline Wozniacki. Puig won the tie against the Dane in three sets 0-6, 6-4, 6-4. Eighth seed Venus Williams stormed back from deficits in both sets to defeat Natalia Vikhlyantseva 7-5, 6-4. Indian Wells winner Naomi Osaka's run was stopped by fourth seed Elina Svitolina. Osaka had earlier defeated Serena Williams in the first round.

5th seed Karolina Pliskova faces Hsieh in the third round at 8:30 PM on Saturday. A blockbuster tie awaits the fans, when world number 1 Simona Halep takes on Agnieszka Radwanska at 10:30 PM. In the men's section, Roger Federer will be in action.
