All England Open: Tai Tzu-ying thrashes Yamaguchi in final
What's the story
Tai Tzu-ying, who has been dominating the badminton circuit since 2016, beat Akane Yamaguchi in straight games to win the 2018 All England Open.
Tai overcame Sindhu's conqueror 22-20, 21-13 to seal the final.
The number 1 ranked-player Tai had won five titles in 2017 including All England Open.
She is the first women since 2007 to successfully defend the singles title in Birmingham.

Shi Yuqi overpowers Lin Dan in men's finale
Shi Yuqi beat six-time champion Lin Dan in three games to become men's All England Open champion.
Yuqi, who was a runner-up in Birmingham in the 2017 edition, rose to prominence this time around.
He defeated the experienced Lin Dan 21-19, 16-21, 21-9 to capture his maiden All England Open title.
This is also the 2nd Superseries career title win for the 22-year old.
