ICC Champions Trophy: SL register a comfortable win over India
Sri Lanka chased a target of 322 runs against India to keep their semi-final hopes alive in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. Danushka Gunathilaka and Kusal Mendis gave a stable start to the team after early loss, giving a comfortable seven wicket victory. Let us have a look at some of the records broken in this game.

In the Champions Trophy, these two countries have faced each other four times, with each winning one match. Two final matches of the 2002 Champions Trophy were abandoned by rain.
Sharma, Dhawan go past Gayle-Chanderpaul
Recording their fourth century partnership in the Champions Trophy, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma have scored six 50-plus partnerships. They went past West Indies' pair of Chris Gayle and Shivnarine Chanderpaul who have five 50-plus stands. Sharma and Dhawan have shared eight 50-plus opening stands for India in the ICC tournament, sharing the record with pairs of Sachin Tendulkar-Sourav Ganguly and Tendulkar-Sehwag.
First duck for Kohli in ICC tournaments
Indian skipper Kohli got out for zero run today, a first for him in 43 innings of the ICC tournaments. It was also the first time since August 2014, that Kohli went back to pavilion without scoring a run in the ODIs.

Shikhar Dhawan scored 125 runs today, hitting his tenth ODI century in 77 innings, third quickest by anyone. Interestingly, he has scored five of them in ICC tournaments in just 15 innings, three of which have come in seven innings of the Champions Trophy. Completing 500 runs in the CT, he is also the quickest player to reach the mark.
62nd half-century for Dhoni
MS Dhoni hit his 62nd half century in the ODIs and 17th against Sri Lanka, as he went on to score 63 runs off 52 balls. He hit seven fours and two sixes in his innings.
India scores 300-plus runs
Today's score of 321 was India's fifth consecutive 300-plus score in the ODIs. India scored 356, 381 and 316 runs in the three match ODI series against England earlier this year, while the fourth total of 319 came against Pakistan in their first game of 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. India have scored 300-plus runs in an innings 95 times, the most by any country.
Malinga's not so 'fine' record
Lasith Malinga gave away 70-plus runs in an ODI for the record 15th time. The next on the list are Nuwan Kulasekara and James Anderson, who have given away 70-plus runs 10 times each.
