Real Madrid beat Athletic Bilbao; move on top of table
Alvaro Morata scored a late goal in the 83rd minute as Real Madrid went on to defeat Athletic Bilbao 2-1 in La Liga on Sunday. The opening goal of the match was scored for Madrid by Karim Benzema in seventh minute. Bilbao's Merino Sabin scored the equalizer in the 27th minute. The win has taken Real Madrid on top of the points table.
Sevilla edge out Atletico; maintain 100% record at home
Steven Nzonzi's goal in the 73rd minute helped Sevilla FC maintain their 100 percent win record at home after they beat Atletico Madrid 1-0. Atletico missed many chances to score an equalizer and their situation got worse when mid-fielder Koke was sent off the field in 77th minute. Sevilla recorded their fifth straight win of the tournament handing the visitors their first loss.

Malaga crush Leganes 4-0
Malaga pulled a convincing 4-0 victory over Leganes at La Rosaleda leaving the visitors very less chance to score a goal. Malaga's Jony Rodriguez Menendez and Chory Castro scored back to back goals in the first half. Sandro Ramirez scored another goal in the 57th minute whereas Ignacio Camacho scored the fourth goal of the match in extra time.

The weekend's matches brought Real Madrid on the top of points table with 21 points. Sevilla FC is on the second spot while Barcelona is on the third place. Villarreal and Atletico Madrid are on the fourth and fifth spot respectively.
