The one-off T20I and five-match ODIs against New Zealand are supposed to be India's tune-up event for the all-important 2022 ICC Women's World Cup.
However, the Women in Blue's build-up series is off to a bad start as they have lost the first two games of the tour.
India lost the one-off T20I match against the White Ferns by 18 runs on Wednesday.

In reply, India were bowled out for 213 runs.

11th ODI hundred for Bates
Former New Zealand skipper Suzie Bates (106) on Saturday smashed her 11th ton in the ODIs.
Now, she is just three centuries shy from equaling Australian skipper Meg Lanning's record (14) for the most hundreds in the women's ODIs.
Bates is occupying the second spot on the elite list.
The third spot on the list is held by England's Charlotte Edwards (9).

Amy Satterthwaite surpasses Meg Lanning's feat
Amy Satterthwaite (32) on Saturday scored 63 runs off 67 balls to surpass Lanning (31) for the most number of 50+ scores in WODIs.
Satterthwaite is now sitting at the 8th spot in the elite list.
The list is headed by Mithali Raj, who has scored 67 fifty-plus scores in WODIs.
Mithali (60) also holds the record for most fifties in WODIs.

Jessica Kerr records her best bowling figures in WODIs
Kerr was the standout performer for NZ with the ball.
She finished the match with four wickets in her kitty for 35 to record her best bowling figure in WODIs.
It is also the first time Kerr has taken a four-wicket haul in the fifty overs format.
Kerr's previous best (3/42) in the WODIs had come against England Women in Bristol in 2021.
Mithali
Mithali first Indian to score 1,000 ODI runs vs NZ
Mithali scored a gritty 59 runs knock in the opening ODI and in the process became the first player from the country to score 1,000 runs against New Zealand Women.
She has racked up 1,057 runs in 31 games at 44.04.
Mithali has struck one hundred and seven fifties against the White Ferns.
She is followed by former Indian player Jaya Sharma (496).
Satterthwaite
Satterthwaite first player to score 2,000 ODI runs in NZ
Satterthwaite scored her 25th ODI half-century in the first ODI and en-route became the first player to score 2,000 runs in WODIs in New Zealand.
She has scored 2,040 runs on her home soil in 51 games at 53.68 with the help of five hundreds and 12 fifties.
Satterthwaite is followed by Bates (1,960), Belinda Clarke (1,794), Emily Drumm (1,784), and Karen Rolton (1,727).
