South Africa announce initial 12-member squad for tri-series opener

South Africa have announced a 12-member squad for the first match of the tri-series against New Zealand and Pakistan.
SA are set to take on New Zealand in their first encounter on February 10.
The team will be led by Temba Bavuma and features six players who are yet to play for their country in international cricket.
The new faces include Matthew Breetzke, Meeka-eel Prince, Gideon Peters, Eathan Bosch, Senuran Muthusamy and Mihlali Mpongwana.
Player comeback
Coetzee returns to squad after injury
Apart from the new faces, Gerald Coetzee returns to the South African side after recovering from a hamstring injury. He was ruled out during the SA20 due to the injury.
The first squad for the tri-series also features Junior Dala, Wiaan Mulder, Jason Smith and Kyle Verreynne.
The series' first match will be played on February 10 against New Zealand.
Late arrivals
Maharaj and Klaasen to join later in series
Keshav Maharaj and Heinrich Klaasen, who played for Durban's Super Giants in the SA20, won't be available for the tri-series' first game.
They are likely to join the squad before their second match against Pakistan in Karachi on February 9.
The final lineup for South Africa's remaining matches in this series will also be announced on February 9.
Player departure
Champions Trophy players to depart for Pakistan
Marco Jansen, Aiden Markram, David Miller, Kagiso Rabada, Ryan Rickelton, Tristan Stubbs and Rassie van der Dussen have all been picked for the ICC Champions Trophy.
They will depart for Pakistan on February 14.
The tri-series is especially important as it will be the final set of games before the Champions Trophy starts in Pakistan from February 19.
