ZTE concept smartphone has two iPhone X-like notches
ZTE has designed a concept smartphone called the ZTE Iceberg that has two notches on the display, one on the top and another on the bottom. While the bottom notch contains the front-facing speaker, the top notch contains the selfie camera sensor, the ambient light sensor, and the earpiece. The rest of the screen takes the form of a bezel-less, edge-to-edge display.
ZTE Iceberg has transparent, glass corners
Another innovation on the concept phone is its transparent, glass corners. The smartphone has raised edges of glass on four corners that make the phone look like it's encased in ice. Thus, the combination of glass corners and a unibody structure resembles an ice fragment and gives the phone its name. The glass back also allows for wireless charging.
The phone has dual rear cameras
Thankfully, the phone also has some conventional features. These include a dual rear camera setup and a fingerprint sensor on the back. The back of the ZTE Iceberg also sports a smart pogo pin connector that is essentially a port for connecting the phone to external accessories. This can turn the phone into a boombox or zoom camera.
The phone might be launched in 2019
According to reports, the concept phone might be developed in possibly 13 to 24 months and be ready by 2019 to be shipped to Asia, Europe, and North America.
