ZTE unveils Axon 30 Pro and Ultra smartphones in China
ZTE has unveiled its latest Axon 30 smartphone series in China, including the Axon 30 Pro and 30 Ultra models. The line-up carries a starting price-tag of CNY 3,000 (roughly Rs. 34,300). The handsets offer a 6.67-inch OLED screen, a Snapdragon 888 chipset, four rear cameras, a battery with fast-charging support, and run on Android 11-based MyOS 11. Here are more details.
The Pro model boasts of a 360Hz touch sampling rate
ZTE Axon 30 Pro and Axon 30 Ultra feature a punch-hole design with slim bezels and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Ultra model flaunts curved edges. The handsets bear a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2460 pixels) AMOLED screen with up to 360Hz touch sampling rate (for Pro model) and HDR10+ support. The Pro and Ultra models offer a screen refresh rate of 120Hz and 144Hz, respectively.
The Axon 30 Ultra packs three 64MP rear cameras
ZTE Axon 30 Ultra offers a 64MP (f/1.6) primary sensor, a 64MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, a 64MP (f/1.9) telephoto camera with a 35mm focal length, and an 8MP periscope telephoto lens. The Pro model sports a 64MP main sensor, a 64MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. They come with a 16MP selfie snapper.
They draw power from a Snapdragon 888 chipset
ZTE Axon 30 Pro and 30 Ultra are powered by a Snapdragon 888 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The former houses a 4,200mAh battery with 55W fast-charging, whereas the latter packs a 4,600mAh battery with 66W fast-charging support. They run on Android 11-based MyOS 11 and offer support for 5G and Wi-Fi 6/6E.

ZTE Axon 30 Pro starts at CNY 3,000 (roughly Rs. 34,300) for the 6GB/128GB base model and goes up to CNY 3,600 (around Rs. 41,110) for the 8GB/256GB top variant. Meanwhile, the Ultra model costs CNY 4,698 (approximately Rs. 54,000) for the 8GB/256GB base model and goes up to CNY 6,666 (around Rs. 76,120) for the 16GB/1TB top-end variant.
