YouTuber makes 'Pasta PC' on wife's demand. And it works
We all like pasta but I never thought I would actually see a computer built out of the same food - until today! In an attempt to do something that has never been done before, a YouTuber has made a personal computer out of pasta. And, guess what, the pasta PC even works. Let's take a look at it.
Joke turns to reality
YouTuber Micah Laplante of Laplanet Arts has been posting tech reviews for a while on his channel. But, when his wife joked about building a pasta PC, he took it way too seriously and actually started building one. Laplante employed critical internals from a broken ASUS Transformer convertible tablet and packed all of them into a case made out of lasagna and rigatoni.
And, it worked decently well
While no one would've expected a computer which was first disassembled then reassembled into a pasta case to work, this one actually did. At about 15 minutes into Laplante's video, the pasta PC was ready. He connected the system to a TV, was able to run rocket league and even play a movie on it.
However, the performance wasn't top of the line
The system did work decently, but it's important to note it didn't do anything extraordinary, which is expected from outdated hardware. Plus, the reddish layer we see in the middle of lasagna strips, which looks a lot like tomato sauce and melted cheese, is actually glue which has been painted by the YouTuber for some added effect.
Still, this is a big achievement
The pasta PC may not be a big performer, but it sure makes a lasting impression. Of course, doing something like this isn't easy, especially when you're dealing with years-old hardware and putting it in pasta. "Never joke with me on such things because I may just do it," Laplante said in the caption of his video which has received over 80,000 views.
