YouTube's new features make videos more shoppable
YouTube has launched a range of new shopping features aimed at helping content creators market products and increase their earnings. Among these is "Shopping Collections," a tool that allows creators to curate themed product selections from their favorite brands. These collections can be viewed in the creator's product list, Store tab, and video description. Initially, creators can create collections using the Studio app on mobile devices, with desktop functionality coming soon.
YouTube launches affiliate hub for creators
Alongside Shopping Collections, YouTube is also introducing an Affiliate Hub within its app. This hub serves as a comprehensive platform for creators to access information about the latest Shopping partners, competitive commission rates, and promotional codes. It also offers creators the chance to request product samples from top brands. The main goal of this new hub is to simplify the planning process for creators' upcoming shoppable videos.
YouTube integrates FourthWall for simplified content creation
YouTube is incorporating Fourthwall, a website builder that assists creators in establishing online shops. By allowing users to link their Fourthwall shop, YouTube aims to streamline content creation and management directly within the YouTube Studio. This new feature enhances existing partnerships with Shopify, Spreadshop, and Spring, further simplifying the process for creators to set up and manage their online presence.
YouTube expands feature for tagging products across videos
YouTube is broadening a feature introduced last year that allows creators to tag products in bulk across their video library based on items added to the video's description. Now available to all Shopping creators, this tool can help them generate additional revenue from older content that continues to attract significant traffic. This expansion aims at maximizing the monetization potential of existing content on the platform.
