Now, you can answer calls on your Windows PC
What's the story
Answering an incoming call (or message for that matter) while being busy at work is the hardest thing to do - for each one of us.
The problem is extremely common, but the good news is, Microsoft is offering a solution - a feature that would let you answer calls, messages right from the PC on which you're working.
Here's all about the capability.
Feature
'Your Phone' app being updated with call answering capability
Just recently, the Redmond giant released the latest preview of Windows 10 for Insiders in the Fast ring.
The release, going by the build number 18999, adds the call-answering ability in the 'Your Phone' app of the OS - the client that already lets users access their Android phone's photos, messages, notifications, and apps on a desktop PC.
Steps
How to answer calls from PC?
Once you have installed the test build of Windows, download the Your Phone app on an Android phone running Android 7.0 Nougat or newer.
After this, simply connect the phone with the PC via Bluetooth and use the Windows app's in-app dialer or contact list to initiate calls.
You can even use the capability to answer or decline an incoming call on your PC.
Added features
Your Phone app will also enable access to call history
Along with making and answering calls, Your Phone app would also let you direct calls straight to voice mail or send a custom message while declining.
Plus, you would get the ability to access the call history of your phone on the PC, which will make it relatively easy to check who called if an incoming call gets missed.
Warning
Note: There might be some bugs
While this capability is handy and will contribute towards making your life easier, it's important to note that there might be some bugs in tow.
This is because the preview build of Windows that offers this capability in Your Phone is a test version and is likely to carry some issues.
So, we recommend not trying this feature on a machine you use regularly.
