You can customize PhonePe notification sounds: Here's how
What's the story
Setting custom notification sounds for apps can be really helpful to know which app is buzzing without picking your phone.
For PhonePe users on Android, assigning a distinct sound for transaction notifications can be a game-changer.
This guide will teach you how to set a custom notification sound for PhonePe transactions on your Android device, making it easier for you to recognize transaction alerts without checking your phone.
Preparation
Download and move your sound file
Start personalizing your PhonePe notification sound by downloading an MP3 file of the sound you want from websites like www.myinstants.com that provide free sounds.
After downloading, open the My Files app, go to the Download folder, select the MP3 file, and move it to the Notifications folder located within Internal Storage.
This step prepares your custom sound for selection as a notification tone.
Configuration
Setting up custom notification sound
First, turn on Manage notification categories for each app by going to Settings on your device, clicking on Notifications, and then selecting Advance settings.
Next, navigate to Settings > Apps, locate PhonePe, and click on Notifications.
Select Transactions under Notification categories, locate Sound, and choose your custom .mp3 file.
The setting is saved automatically, finalizing the PhonePe notification sound customization.
