Xiaomi teases Redmi K20 Pro as the "world's fastest smartphone"
Xiaomi is working to release its all new Redmi K20 series of smartphones in India by mid-July. And in the build-up to the launch event, the company has teased the Redmi K20 Pro as the world's fastest smartphone, outscoring every other device in the market with an overall score of 388,803 on the AnTuTu benchmarking platform. Redmi K20 Pro will take on OnePlus 7 Pro
Over the past few weeks, Xiaomi has released some not-so-subtle teasers that pit the Redmi K20 Pro against OnePlus-7-pro'>OnePlus 7 Pro. Xiaomi wants the customers to know that Redmi K20 Pro will be faster than OnePlus' premium phone and still cost much less. But it remains to be seen if benchmark scores can translate to superior performance when it comes to real-world usage.

Just like the OnePlus 7 Pro, the Redmi K20 Pro offers an all-screen look achieved by adopting a pop-up selfie camera. On the back, the glass panel gets a gradient finish and houses a triple camera array. Further, the phone sports a 6.39-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The Redmi K20 Pro offers a triple lens rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) main sensor, a 13MP (f/2.4) secondary sensor, and another 8MP (f/2.4) sensor. The main camera is capable of recording 4K video at upto 60fps. Up front, the phone offers a 20MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper which is housed in a motorized pop-up module.
Under the hood
The Redmi K20 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, paired with upto 8GB of RAM and upto 256GB of storage. Under the hood, it runs on Android Pie-based MIUI 10 and packs a 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast-charging support. Further, the phone supports all the latest connectivity options and sensors including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11a/c, Bluetooth v5.0, and headphone jack.
Redmi K20 Pro to launch at around Rs. 30,000
In China, the Redmi K20 Pro starts at CNY 2,499 (Rs. 25,200) for the 6GB/64GB variant and goes upto CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs. 30,200) for the top-end 8GB/256GB model. Hence, we expect the phone to arrive at around Rs. 30,000 in India.
