Redmi Note 7 with 48MP camera launching in India soon
Xiaomi will launch its all-new 48MP camera phone, the Redmi Note 7, in India soon. Manu Kumar Jain, the company's India head, has teased the phone's launch as he took to Twitter, saying "Amazing #48MP is coming". To recall, the Redmi Note 7 was recently launched in China at CNY 999 which is roughly Rs. 10,300 in India. Here's everything to know.

Xiaomi could also launch Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Go
Recently, MySmartPrice claimed that Xiaomi will launch Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Go in India "before the end of the first quarter." Redmi Note 7 Pro will be same as the Redmi Note 7 but with a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset. Further, Redmi Go will pack entry-level internals, and run Android Pie Go Edition out-of-the-box.

Up front, the Redmi Note 7 sports an edge-to-edge display with a waterdrop notch on the top and a sizeable bottom bezel. On the back, it has a glass-like chassis with gradient design, dual camera setup and a fingerprint scanner. Further, the phone features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ notched display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 450 nits brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The Redmi Note 7 comes with a dual rear camera setup comprising a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, paired with a 5MP depth sensor and LED flash. Up front, the phone offers a 13MP selfie camera. Moreover, we expect both the cameras to offer several AI-based features such as smart HDR and Portrait mode.

The Redmi Note 7 is powered by a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, paired with 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. The phone runs Android Oreo-based MIUI 9 and packs a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support. Further, it supports all the standard sensors and connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port, headphone jack, dual-SIMs, and 4G VoLTE.

In China, the Redmi Note 7 starts at CNY 999 (approx. Rs. 10,300) for the 3GB/32GB model and goes up to CNY 1,399 (approx. Rs. 14,500) for the top-end 6GB/64GB variant. Moreover, as per a recent leak, the Redmi Note 7 Pro will come at a starting price of CNY 1,499 (approx. Rs. 16,000). Lastly, the Redmi Go should be priced around Rs. 5,000.
