Xiaomi recalls Poco F1 handsets with touchscreen issues
What's the story
Ever since its launch, Xiaomi's Poco F1 has been plagued by some or the other issue. Just recently, the company rolled out MIUI v10.3.5.0 update to fix touch related issues on the low-cost flagship phone.
However, the update hasn't resolved the issues as Xiaomi is asking Poco F1 users, who continue to face touchscreen problems, to send over their handsets for testing.
Here's more.
Troubleshooting
Xiaomi is recalling only select Poco F1 handsets for testing
In a series of tweets, Pocophone Global head, Alvin Tse, has said that Xiaomi is "looking to analyze" Poco F1 handsets that are facing issues like screen freezing, ghost touch, and touch lags.
However, the company will select only "the most representative devices" for further testing.
Once a handset has been selected, the company will then reach out to the user for further instructions.
Process
Here's how you can send your phone for testing
If you are facing touchscreen issues on your Poco F1 and are willing to send the phone for testing, you can do so by providing details such as user ID, contact information, description of the issue, videos/screenshots showing the problem and Feedback ID to vzhaoxiaomi@gmail.com.
Meanwhile, the company hasn't promised a replacement device for the affected Poco F1 unit you would send for testing.
