Xiaomi's flagship Pocophone F1 could soon launch in India: Reports
Xiaomi could soon launch its first smartphone, under the Pocophone series, in India and other global markets, according to reports. The device will most likely be called Pocophone 1, given this moniker has received certification by the US FCC and Taiwan's NCC. Moreover, recent leaks have exposed the flagship phone's specifications along with its pricing. Here's everything we know about Xiaomi's Pocophone F1.
Pocophone F1: At a glance
According to reports, Pocophone F1 will feature a 5.99-inch full-HD+ (1080x2160p) notched-based LCD display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The device is likely to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, paired with an Adreno 630 GPU, 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card). Moreover, the phone will reportedly run Android Oreo 8.1-based MIUI 9.
What else do we know about the Pocophone F1?
In terms of optics, the upcoming Xiaomi flagship will sport a dual rear camera setup. However, no details are available regarding the specs of the rear and front camera. Moreover, the Pocophone F1 is expected to pack a 4,000mAh battery along with support for fast charging. In terms of connectivity, the phone is likely to get dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi and GPS.
Upcoming Xiaomi flagship could start at EUR 420
The Pocophone F1 is expected to start at EUR 420 (Rs. 33,640) for the 6GB/64GB variant and cost around EUR 460 (Rs. 36,850) for the 6GB/128GB model. At this price point, the phone will be one of the cheapest flagships to sport a Snapdragon 845 processor. It will take on the likes of Honor 10, ASUS ZenFone 5Z, Huawei Nova 3 and OnePlus 6.
