Xiaomi Poco F2 to feature waterdrop-style display notch
We know Xiaomi is working on Poco F2 - the successor to the company's popular budget-friendly Poco F1 flagship. Recently, the phone was spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 845 processor and 6GB RAM. And now, a concept render of Poco F2 has appeared on the internet, revealing an Mi Play-like waterdrop notched display, dual rear-camera setup, and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Here are the details.
Here's a concept render of Pocophone F2 aka Poco F2
Poco F2 could sport Mi Play like design
As seen on the concept render, the Poco F2 will sport a waterdrop notched display, vertically-stacked dual rear camera, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner - all features reminiscent of the recently launched Mi Play. Further, with a smaller cutout, it will offer increased screen-to-body ratio than its predecessor. However, considering the render is based on leaks, this may not be the final design.
Meanwhile, what did the Geekbench listing reveal
According to the Geekbench listing, the Poco F2 will be powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM. The listing also confirms that the upcoming Poco flagship will run Android Pie out of the box. Moreover, the Poco F2 has scored 2,321 points in the single-core test and 7,564 points in multi-core performance.
And, features we won't see on the Poco F2
Poco F1 is a huge hit for its cost-value proposition. Obviously, for Xiaomi to offer good specs at an attractive price, it has to cut some corners. Hence, for Poco F2 to be priced around Poco F1, we think the phone will not come with wireless charging, OIS-supported camera, a higher resolution display, premium built/design, and a higher IP-rating for dust and water resistance.
