Xiaomi's 55-inch Mi TV 4X goes on sale in India
Xiaomi's recently-launched 55-inch Mi TV 4X model, which comes as a cheaper alternative to the OnePlus TV and a capable rival to the Motorola TV, has gone on sale in India. The Android TV-based 4K television can be purchased via Amazon.in and Mi.com online as well as from Mi Home offline stores. Here are more details.

Right of the bat, the 55-inch Mi TV 4X looks like any other Xiaomi smart television with a slim metal frame, non-curved screen, and a 4K HDR10-certified display that is backed by the company's in-house image processing Vivid Picture Engine technology. For audio, the premium television gets 20W speakers with support for Dolby Atmos as well as DTS-HD technologies.
Under the hood
The Mi TV 4X 55-inch model is powered by quad-core Amlogic Cortex A53 CPU, paired with Mali 450 GPU, 2GB RAM and 8GB of built-in storage. Under the hood, it runs on Android TV 9-based PatchWall 2.0 UI, bringing features such as Chromecast, Google Assistant, Play Store (for apps and games) and Google Data Saver to manage your internet consumption.
The TV also supports all the latest apps
This Mi TV 4X variant packs the latest I/O ports including three HDMI ports, two USB ports, an ethernet socket, and another audio port. It also supports dual-band Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth4.2 and comes with several pre-installed apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Hotstar, Sony LIV, and others. The new PatchWall UI also brings a new Light Theme.

The Mi TV 4X 55-inch is priced at Rs. 34,999, which is Rs. 35,000 cheaper than the OnePlus TV (Q1 model) and Rs. 5,000 less than the Motorola's offering.
