Xiaomi launches Mi Notebook Pro 2 with 8th-gen Intel processors
Xiaomi has updated its last year's Mi Notebook Pro range with the all-new Mi Notebook Pro 2. As part of the upgrade, the 2018 Mi Notebook Pro models get the latest 8th-generation Intel Core i7 processors along with 256 GB SSD, up to 16GB RAM and optional NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card with 6GB video RAM. Mi Notebook Pro 2: At a glance
In terms of design and display, there are no updates whatsoever. The Mi Notebook Pro 2 gets the same 15.6-inch full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with 300-nits of brightness and 72% NTSC color gamut coverage. The laptop has two 3W speakers with support for Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos, along with an RGB backlight keyboard, a 55WH battery pack, and 1MP (720p) webcam.
The Mi Notebook Pro 2 gets Intel's Coffee Lake CPUs
The Mi Notebook Pro 2 comes with 6-core Intel Core i7-8750H-based Coffee Lake processors which are rated to boost performance by 30%. There are four models to choose from that offer up to 16GB DDR4 RAM, up to 6GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card, 256GB of PCI-e SSD and 1TB HDD. The laptop runs Windows 10 Home and comes pre-installed with Office 2016.
Mi Notebook Pro 2 gets standard ports and connectivity options
The Mi Notebook Pro 2 gets three USB 3.0 ports, one USB Type- C port, a headphone jack, one microphone, one Gigabit Ethernet port, and an HDMI 2.0 port. The laptop also supports dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1. Moreover, Xiaomi has also retained the same cooling system on the Notebook Pro 2 that was seen on the previous version of the laptop.

The Mi Notebook Pro 2, with Intel Core i5-8300H, 8 GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM, GTX 1050 Ti 4GB, 256GB SSD, and 1TB HDD costs RMB 6,699 (approx. Rs. 67,000) in China, and goes up to RMB 8,999 (approx. Rs. 90,000) for the top model.
