Xiaomi sells over $61.3 million worth of Mi MIX FOLD
Xiaomi's first-ever foldable smartphone, the Mi MIX FOLD, had gone on sale in China yesterday i.e. April 16. The tech giant has now revealed that it had managed to generate over CNY 14 million ($61.3 million) revenue within one minute of its first sale, which equates to around a total of 40,000 units. The handset boasts of a WQHD+ AMOLED internal display
Xiaomi Mi MIX FOLD sports an in-folding design, a metal hinge, and a "butterfly cooling system" that combines a vapor chamber, thermal gel, and multiple layers of graphite sheets. The handset bears an 8.01-inch WQHD+ (2480x1860 pixels) AMOLED main screen with HDR10+ support. The external display has a 6.52-inch (850x2520 pixels) AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate.
It comes with a liquid lens technology
Mi MIX FOLD offers a Xiaomi-developed Surge C1 image processing chip and a triple rear camera module comprising a 108MP main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP tele-macro camera with Liquid Lens technology. This technology uses the human eye principle and adjusts the optical magnification from 3x to 30x, allowing the sensor to take zoom as well as macro shots.
It draws power from a Snapdragon 888 chipset
Xiaomi Mi MIX FOLD is fueled by a Snapdragon 888 processor, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. Under the hood, it runs on Android 10-based MIUI 12 and packs a 5,020mAh (dual-cell) battery with 67W fast-charging support. The device is also equipped with Harman Kardon-powered quad 3D panaromic speakers, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and 5G network support.
Xiaomi Mi MIX FOLD: Pricing details
In China, the Xiaomi Mi MIX FOLD is priced at CNY 9,999 (around Rs. 1,14,300) for the 12GB/256GB model and CNY 10,999 (roughly Rs. 1,25,700) for the 12GB/512GB variant. The Ceramic Special Edition costs CNY 12,999 (approximately Rs. 1,48,600) for the 16GB/512GB storage configuration.
