Mi Mix 4 may sport a whopping 100MP rear camera
In a bid to take on premium offerings from Apple, Samsung, Huawei and other competitors, Xiaomi is holding no bars for its upcoming heavyweight, the Mi Mix 4. According to a report, the flagship handset will arrive with an uninterrupted 90Hz 'Waterfall screen', a 100MP rear camera, and 40W fast-charging support. Here's all about it.
Mi Mix 4 to offer an all-screen 'Waterfall' design
Going by the report, the Mi Mix 4 will feature a notch-less, hole-less Waterfall screen, similar to OPPO's implementation. However, to house the front camera, Xiaomi will opt for a pop-up module. The phone is also tipped to come with a Quad-HD 90Hz display that will allow it to compete against the upcoming Pixel 4 flagships and the OnePlus 7T series.
Xiaomi's flagship will debut a 100MP rear camera
As far as camera specifications are concerned, the report claims that the Mi Mix 4 will sport a a 100MP sensor. Now, this could be the same imaging sensor that was announced by Samsung last month. And though there is no information about the rear camera, we expect it to be a triple or quad-lens setup with additional wide-angle and telephoto sensors.
Under the hood
The Mi Mix 3 is likely to be powered by the refreshed Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. We also expect Xiaomi to launch a 5G variant of the phone. The handset is also tipped to come with 40W fast-charging support. However, it remains to be seen if it is for wired or wireless charging.
When will Mi Mix 4 launch?
If Xiaomi sticks to its usual handset launch timeline for the flagship Mi Mix series, we can expect Mi Mix 4 to arrive sometime later this year, at least in China.
