Xiaomi Mi Mix 3: Design, Specs and Launch details
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, the latest flagship of the trendsetting Mix series, will raise the bar even further. According to reports, the Mi Mix 3 will come with no-notch and no-bezels, suggesting all-screen design. And to achieve this, Xiaomi is likely to adopt a motorized camera - just like OPPO and Vivo. Here's more on this development.
The promotional teaser reveals Mi Mix 3's launch date
The leaked promotional teaser has not only given us a little sneak-peek about the design of the upcoming Mi Mix 3, but has also revealed the phone's launch date. The teaser has "9.15" numbers on it, suggesting the phone will be unveiled on September 15.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3: At a glance
According to a leaked promotional poster, the Mi Mix 3 is seen to sport a bezel-less bottom. This is a significant upgrade over its predecessor which came with a prominent bottom chin that housed the front camera. Hence, a bezel-less bottom suggests Xiaomi has opted for a pop-up camera to achieve an all-screen design as seen on the Vivo Nex and OPPO Find X.
Previous reports suggest Mix 3 will come in two variants
Xiaomi will offer its Mi Mix 3 flagship in two variants - a standard model and a premium variant with ceramic back, according to previous reports. However, it is not yet certain if both or just the premium variant will feature the pop-up camera.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 tipped to start at $510
The 6GB RAM/64GB storage (Standard model) will be priced at $510 while the Ceramic Edition will cost $660. The 6GB RAM/128GB variant will cost $555 for Standard model and $705 for Ceramic Edition. The 8GB/128GB option will be listed at $600 and $750 for Standard and Ceramic Editions respectively. Lastly, the 8GB/256GB variant will cost $645 (Standard model) and $795 for the Ceramic Edition.
