Xiaomi Mi Max 3 to launch soon, CEO drops hint
After having confirmed a July launch, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has now shared the retail box of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Max 3. The mid-range phablet is expected to be unveiled later this month and will succeed last year's Mi Max 2. Earlier, Mi Max 3 was spotted on TENNA, a Chinese mobile certification site, wherein the key specs of the device were revealed.

According to the TENAA listing, the Mi Max 3 will come with a 6.9-inch full-HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The listing suggests the phone will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor and will be offered in configurations of 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB of inbuilt storage which will be expandable via a microSD card.

The listing suggests Mi Max 3 will come in three variants and all of them will have a rear-dual camera setup comprising a 12-MP primary sensor. On the front, one of the variants will get a 5-megapixel selfie camera while the other two variants will offer an 8-megapixel sensor each. Lastly, Mi Max will pack a massive 5,400mAh battery and run Android 8.1 Oreo.
