Mi CC9, CC9e specifications leaked ahead of July 2 launch
Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is all set to launch the youth-centric CC series of smartphones in its home country on July 2, according to a report. The line-up comprises two smartphones: Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e. In the recent development, tipster Mukul Sharma has leaked the design and hardware specifications of both the models along with their pricing. Here's more.
Mi CC9: At a glance
According to the leaked image, the Mi CC9 is expected to offer a 6.39-inch all-screen AMOLED display with a full-HD+ resolution, and an on-screen fingerprint sensor. It is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 730 chipset, paired with upto 8GB RAM and upto 256GB storage. Moreover, the phone is expected to be backed by a solid 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast-charging support.
Here's what to expect from Mi CC9e
As per the leaks, the Mi CC9e is expected to feature a 5.97-inch AMOLED display with a full-HD+ resolution and an on-screen fingerprint sensor. It is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 710 processor, paired with upto 8GB of RAM and upto 128GB of storage. Lastly, the phone is said to be backed by a 3,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
Both the phones are likely to run Android Pie-based MIUI-10
Going by the leaks, the Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e will run on Android Pie-based MIUI 10 and are expected to come with a bunch of other features including an IR Blaster, Hi-Res audio support, and USB Type-C port.
The smartphones are expected to offer triple rear-cameras for shutterbugs
On the imaging front, the Mi CC9 is expected to house a triple rear camera setup comprising a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor, a 16MP secondary sensor, and another 12MP lens, presumably a depth sensor. Further, the Mi CC9e is also tipped to feature a triple lens rear camera setup with a 48MP primary lens, an 8MP secondary lens, and a 5MP third sensor.
The phones might use under display technology for selfie camera
Mi CC9 and CC9e are expected to use Xiaomi's recently demoed under display technology for the selfie camera. However, there is also a probability that the company might adopt the in-trend pop-up mechanism. Meanwhile, both the models are expected to sport a 32MP selfie snapper.
Finally, what will be the pricing?
According to the leak, the Mi CC9 is expected to start at CNY 2,599 (approximately Rs. 26,200) for its base-end 6GB/128GB variant and will go upto CNY 3,099 (approximately Rs. 31,300) for its top model with 8GB/256GB configuration. On the other hand, the Mi CC9e is likely to start at CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs. 16,100).
