All the latest scoop around Xiaomi's Android One-based Mi A3
As the successor to its Android One-based camera-centric Mi A2, Xiaomi is working to soon launch Mi A3. The company has started teasing the phone on social media with the hashtag #PhotosWithoutLimits as a reference to the photography prowess of the upcoming handset. Mi A3 will retain the design of Mi CC9
According to WinFuture, the Mi A3 will borrow the design language from the Mi CC9 which was recently launched in China. Hence, it will offer a waterdrop notched display with an all-glass body and gradient design on the rear. Further, the Mi A3 is tipped to feature a 6.0-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2240x1080 pixels and a pixel density of 409ppi.
Mi A3's highlight will be its camera performance
Given Xiaomi's A-series focuses on camera performance, the Mi A3 will surely get improved optics over the 12MP+20MP dual-lens setup on the Mi A2. In fact, the Mi A3 is tipped to come with a triple rear camera featuring a 48MP (f/1.79) main lens, an 8MP secondary lens, and another 2MP lens. Up front, the phone is said to house a 32MP selfie snapper.
Under the hood
The Mi A3, according to leaks, will be powered by a Snapdragon 665 chipset along with 4GB of RAM and upto 128GB of storage. Under the hood, it will pack a 4,000mAh battery with support for a presumed 18W fast charging via the Type-C port. Lastly, it will run on stock Android Pie as part of Google's Android One program.
Xiaomi will also launch a Mi A3 Lite variant
Further, Xiaomi is also working on a Mi A3 Lite model which is tipped to arrive with watered-down specifications as compared to Mi A3. However, we might see the same camera and Android One branding on this lower cost model as well.
