Xiaomi to launch its Mi 9 flagship on February 20
As the successor to its Mi 8 smartphone, Xiaomi will introduce Mi 9 in China on February 20. The company has confirmed the launch details in a post shared on Weibo, the micro-blogging site today. Xiaomi Mi 9 to sport a waterdrop notched display
According to a recent Weibo post, the Mi 9 will come with a waterdrop-like notched display with a slim bottom bezel. This new design should offer more screen-to-body ratio than the Mi 8 which featured an iPhone X-like notch. Further, the phone is tipped to sport a 6.4-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Mi 9 to sport triple rear-camera with 48MP main sensor
The leak also claims that Mi 9 will come with a triple rear-camera setup comprising a 48MP Sony IMX586 main sensor, paired with a 12MP secondary sensor and a 3D Time-of-Flight sensor. Up front, the phone is said to pack a 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor.
Under the hood
The phone is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, paired with X24 LTE modem, 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. However, we can expect premium variants with more memory and storage. Lastly, the Mi 9 is tipped to pack a 3,500mAh battery with 27W fast charging support and run Android Pie-based MIUI 10 out of the box.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 will launch in China on February 20, according to the official announcement made by the company. Further, in terms of pricing, the phone is expected to arrive at CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs. 30,400).
