Xiaomi expands its smart TV portfolio with four new models
As the latest addition to its Mi TV series, Xiaomi has launched four new models in India, including its biggest offering in the country yet - the 65-inch Mi TV 4X. Additionally, the company has also introduced the Mi TV 4X 43-inch, Mi TV 4X 50-inch, and the Mi TV 4A 40-inch variants at prices starting from Rs. 17,999. Here's our roundup.
The new Mi TV models offer upto 4K resolution
The flagship Mi TV 4X 65-inch, touted as the company's most colorful TV ever, comes with a 4K 10-bit display with HDR10, and Vivid Picture Engine. Further, the Mi TV 4X 43-inch and 50-inch models offer 4K HDR10 displays whereas the 40-inch Mi TV 4A gets a full-HD screen. All Mi TV 4X models also pack 20W speakers with Dolby Audio and DTS-HD support.
Mi TV 4X 65-inch can improve picture quality in real-time
The Mi TV 4X 65-inch model comes equipped with a Reality Flow Engine which analyzes the content coming from set-top boxes (generally in 24fps) and insert frames in between to interpolate to 60Hz. This will allow for improved picture quality and smoother viewing experience.
Under the hood
All the new models are powered by Quad-core A53/A55 processor, paired with upto Mali-450/Mali-470 MP3 GPU, upto 2GB RAM, and upto 16GB of built-in storage. Under the hood, they run on Android TV 9 with PatchWall 2.0 UI layered on top. The new iteration of Xiaomi's smart interface brings content from leading services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube and others.
Pricing and availability
The Mi TV 4X 65-inch comes with an introductory price of Rs. 54,999 and it will become available for pre-ordering starting September 29 via Mi.com and Flipkart. The Mi TV 4A 40-inch, Mi TV 4X 43-inch, and Mi TV 4X 50-inch are priced at Rs. 17,999, Rs. 24,999, and Rs. 29,999, respectively. They will go on sale starting September 29 via Mi.com and Flipkart.
