Mi Mix 2: Xiaomi's bezel-less phone launched at Rs. 35,999
Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi has finally launched its first ever bezel-less smartphone, Mi Mix 2, in India at a price of Rs. 35,999. It is the successor of the Mi Mix smartphone launched last year. It was first launched in China last month. The premium smartphone boasts of an edge-to-edge "Full View" display. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2: Ceramic built and a unique design
Mi Mix 2 has a 5.99-inch Full-HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a ceramic rear panel. The premium device is powered by Snapdragon 835 processor, Qualcomm's current best, and Adreno 540 GPU. It has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. But Xiaomi has promised Android 8.0 Oreo update by Dec'17.
Exclusively available on Flipkart
Mi Mix 2 would be exclusively available on Flipkart and Mi.com, and also at select retailers. While the online sale of the device will start from 17 October, it would be available offline in November. Buyers can also avail the "Zero EMI" offer by Xiaomi.
Uses hidden sound-guided speaker design
Mi Mix 2 has a rear fingerprint scanner and is powered by a 3400mAh battery. It comes with the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 feature. One major highlight is the "hidden" sound-guided speaker. The sound, resonating through the metallic frame, is delivered through the display. The dual-SIM phone supports 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC. It comes with USB Type-C for charging/data sharing.
Facial recognition technology for unlocking device
Housing a Sony IMX386 sensor, Mi Mix 2 sports a 12MP rear camera with dual-flash, four-axis Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for shake-free photos/videos, f/2.0 aperture, and 4K video recording. It has a 5MP selfie shooter with facial recognition feature for unlocking the smartphone.
