Xiaomi launches Mi Beard Trimmer in India: Price, features, more
Xiaomi is expanding its product portfolio in India by marching into the personal grooming category. The company has unveiled Mi Beard Trimmer with an ergonomic waterproofed design and self-sharpening blades. The device has been priced at Rs. 1,199 and is currently up for pre-orders on Xiaomi's online store mi.com. Here's all you need to know about it.
Rounded stainless blades with 40 length settings
Xiaomi's Mi Beard trimmer offers rounded, self-sharpening-capable stainless steel blades and a 20 setting dial, which, when used with two combs, gives as many as 40 length settings to choose for different beard styles. According to Xiaomi, the precision of trimming with this device can vary between 0.5mm to 20mm, depending on the choice of the comb and dial setting.
Plus, you get waterproofing and travel lock
In addition to super-precise trimming, Mi Beard Trimmer offers an IPX7 certified, hydro resistant body. This will let you detach the trimmer's head and wash the whole thing without worrying about the possibility of malfunction, like in the case of other trimmers. Notably, there is also a travel lock which will prevent the trimmer from switching on unintentionally.
90 minutes of run time with two hours of charge
The trimmer works in both corded and cordless mode and takes some two hours to charge completely. When fully charged, it will give you nearly 90 minutes of run time, according to Xiaomi. And, when there is no backup at all, just 5 minutes of charging will give you 10 minutes worth of juice for a quick trim.

Mi Beard Trimmer is up for pre-order at Rs. 1,199 on Xiaomi's online store Mi.com. Meanwhile, starting June 27, the device will also be available for purchase on Amazon India and Mi Homes. The trimmer, when available, will go against popular line of budget trimmers from Phillips, Vega, and other personal grooming brands in India.
